Bush called 'President Shrub' in government memo
WINNIPEG - Saskatchewan's government has tried everything to get the U.S. border opened to its beef: pleading, cajoling and even threatening a ban. Now a researcher for the ruling New Democratic Party has resorted to name-calling, in a memo that described George W. Bush as "Shrub."

Titled, "Re: petition to President Shrub," the bulletin on NDP caucus letterhead was distributed this week to members of the legislature, candidates for Saskatchewan's coming election and MPs in Ottawa. Media outlets received the memo by mistake.

"We were just appalled," said Elwin Hermanson, leader of the opposition Saskatchewan Party, who received the bulletin yesterday. "It should have read 'petition for Resident Stupid'." - link.

Former Fox Reichsfrau's show in sh*tter
CNN dumped Connie Chung last year because her ratings were disappointing - but her replacement, vapid mouthbreather Paula Zahn, is doing even worse.

On average, 761,000 viewers watched Chung's 8 p.m. show last July compared to 579,000 for Zahn's show this month. In all, Zahn's ratings are down 24 percent compared to the same hour last year when Chung was on the air.

Zahn, the Cheney Nooze Network's cheesy $2 million anchor/bimbette, returned to the air in late June after nearly a seven-week absence to take over the 8 p.m. timeslot and launch a new show, tentatively titled, "American Evening."

Zahn has called her program "a show in progress" and said that over the next few months producers will be adding "a new name, surroundings and features."

Unfortunately, adding a new host isn't in the cards. - NY comPost.
